Udupi: Milagres College Kallianpur celebrates 'Great Quest 2k19'

Udupi, Sep 5: To exhibit the talents of the students, 'Great Quest 2k19' Talents' Day was celebrated recently at Milagres College Kallianpur.

Prasanna Shetty Bailur, a well known actor of south Canara inaugurated Talents' day by blasting balloons. Addressing the gathering he said, “This kind of Talents' Day celebration provides a platform to exhibit our hidden talents. I was born and brought up in a poor agricultural family. My talents gave me recognition. I can proudly say that whatever I have achieved today is just because of my talents. Prasanna Shetty gave an example of Renu Mendal of Kolkatta who recently became a celebrity
just because of her talent which mesmerised the entire world.

Alumnus, Ranjith Picardo, associate director of Human Resources, Brady Corporation, Bengaluru was guest of honour on the day. He recollected his days at Milagres College and said he was the president of SWC in 2001-2002. Picardo encouraged the students to make best use of all the opportunities.

Dr Vincent Alva, principal of Milagres College presided over the programme. The directors of SWC, Dr Herald Monis and Chandrika, Sherwin Olivera, president of SWC, Surakshitha, secretary of SWC, Rencita D'Souza, cultural secretary of SWC were present on the dais. Sarah of III BCA compered the programme.
