Rajni Sharma appointed Delhi women's senior team head coach


New Delhi, Sep 5 (IANS): Former Delhi all-rounder Rajni Sharma was on Thursday appointed as the head coach of Delhi senior women's team.

The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) confirmed the appointment on its official Twitter handle.

Rajni, 50, had served as the assistant coach of the team for the domestic season 2017-18.

Jai Prakash Pandey has been appointed as the bowling coach while Meenakshi Bhaskar will serve as the team manager of the women's team.

Meanwhile, DDCA also appointed Puru Singh as the in-charge of Delhi women's U-23 team and named Khyati Gulani as the batting coach. Neeru will look after Delhi junior girls' teams with Kuldeep Rawat as bowling coach, announced DDCA.

Last month, DDCA had appointed former Delhi cricketers K.P. Bhaskar and Rajkumar Sharma as the head coach and bowling coach of the senior men's team respectively.
