Mangaluru: Teachers' Day celebrated at Shakthi School and PU College

Mangaluru, Sep 5: “A teacher is a person that gives away knowledge to students. He/she is also the strength that transforms the life of students. While the family teaches values to the child, a school gives education. A teacher takes major part in the life of a child and succeeds in moulding a good personality in him,” said Shakthi Pre-university College professor Prabhaker G S. He explained the importance of Teachers' Day held at Shakthi Residential School and Shakthi PU College.

Retired teachers selected as excellent in the district level, U Gopalakrishna Bhat, Vimala Bai, Veena B, Pashupathi Shastri and Somashekar Shetty were felicitated. Shakthi Residential School Principal, Vidya Kamath G called on the students to earn the love and trust of their teachers and to respect them.



Shakthi Education Trust management official Baikady Janardhan Achar welcomed everyone. Professor Harshita thanked the gathering. Teacher Swathika compered the programme.

Gopalakrishna temple managing trustee K C Naik, Shakthi Education Trust chief advisor Ramesh K, development officer Nasim Banu and Gopalakrishna Pre-primary school convener Seema Saxena were present.
