Mahoba, Sep 6: On Thursday, during the 'Urs' festival in Uttar Pradesh, 43 people were under fire for serving 'Biryani' to Hindus.

The incident took place in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh on August 31. The feast took place during 'Urs' of Sheikh Peer Baba.

BJP MLA Brijbhushan Rajpoot on his visit to the area where the festival was being held condemned the serving of 'Biryani' to the Hindu community.

The BJP leader stated that it was an intentional act by the Muslim community to hurt the sentiments of the Hindus. He also demanded stringent action against the accused.

But, contrary to the claims by the BJP leader, Superintendent of Police Swami Nath stated that there was no deliberate attempt to serve non-veg biryani.

Although 43 people are booked in this regard, no one is arrested so far. Meanwhile, an investigation is underway.
