Mangaluru: Paper bag making, organic farming workshop held at SAC as part of Savayava Saptaha week

Mangaluru, Sep 6: On the occasion of Savayava Saptaha week, Ecology club association on September 5 organised a workshop on paper bag making and talk on organic farming at the AV room and AR 803, Aruppe block.

The workshop was inaugurated by sowing a seed ball in the soil and watering it. Glavin Thomas Rodrigues, fish and shrimp breeder, Dr John D’Silva, co-ordinator of Savayava Saptaha, presidents of Ecology club association, Shilpa B and Kiran Vati K, Dr Prakash Kamath, dean of Physical Sciences, Dr Hemachandra, head, department of Zoology, Dr Jyothi Miranda, head, department of Botany were present.



47 students from different faculty of under graduation and eight students from MSW took part in the workshop.

Prabhakar Mayya Surya, a renowned agriculturist from Belthangady was resource person for the talk on 'Samagra Krishivondige Savaya Krishi mathu Neerina Samrakshane'.

Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, principal, Fr Pradeep Antony SJ director of Aruppe block graced the occasion.
