Kundapur: Couple facing murder charge try hands at robbery - Arrested

Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Sep 7: A man and a woman, who visited a house posing as distant relatives for delivering marriage invitation, tried to rob the family. Both were caught by locals who handed them over to the police. This incident happened at Ferry Road ward of the town on Friday September 6 afternoon.

Interestingly, the two who got involved with the said misadventure have already been facing charges in the case of murder of Sameer from Ganjimath near Mangalluru. They had secured bail from the court last month after being in judicial custody for long.

The couple has been identified as Asif (38) from Karkala and Firdous (35), resident of Kaup Majoor.

Firdous faces the allegation of escorting her husband, Sameer from Ganjimath, Mangaluru, to Tamil Nadu in connivance with Asif during September last year, and killing him through a well-executed plan by stabbing him with help from Asif. They were released last month on conditional bail.

Both Asif and Firdous visited the house of Abu Muhammed Saheb living near the mosque on Ferry Road ward here on Friday afternoon, told the lone lady there that they were relatives of her daughter-in-law, and were there to deliver invitation card. The men in the house were away at the mosque to offer Friday prayers and Abu's wife Mehar Banu, was alone at home.

The visitors tried to snatch away the golden chain in the neck of the woman, noticing that there was no one else at home. Mehar shouted for help, when the passersby heard her, came in and held the two offenders. When the intruders stumbled in answering the queries made to them, they were thrashed at which they confessed that they were accused in a murder case. Then they were handed over to the police.

A case in this connection was registered in the town police station. District superintendent of police, Nisha James and assistant superintendent of police Hariram Shankar, visited the house in question and collected details.

Why bail to murderers, rapists, terror accused and allowing them to contest elections ?? Law of the land to be blamed at the first place.

Spineless law of the land to be blamed. Rapists. Murderers and terror accused are getting free and allowed to contest elections and the innocents are still languishing in jails on terror cases for decades without trials.

Even moon expedition is not successful 100%. Otherwise persons like Asif and Firdous deport on moon forever. It's same as done by britain earlier all rogues sent to australia. That rogues now become world class players in cricket.
