Pakistan denies entry to Kovind's plane in its airspace

Islamabad, Sep 7 (IANS): Pakistan on Saturday rejected a request made by New Delhi to let the airplane of Indian President Ram Nath Kovind to fly over its airspace, the media reported.

Islamabad turned down the request based on the "alarming human rights situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK)", said Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, according to Geo News.

Qureshi said Prime Minister Imran Khan had approved of the decision to reject the request and added that "the Indian aggression in IoK" was responsible for Pakistan's move.

In August, it was reported that Khan was considering shutting down Pakistani airspace for India. A complete ban on Indian trade to Afghanistan through Pakistani land routes was also under discussion.

Qureshi said New Delhi's "barbarism" in Kashmir was a serious issue which he would take up with the UN Human Rights Council.

He added that "34 days have elapsed since Indian authorities imposed a crippling curfew in occupied Kashmir" before revoking the region's special autonomy.

Tensions between the two neighbours have heightened after New Delhi's revocation of the special status to Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.

Kashmir belongs to India. You people go to UN or anywhere you will not be able to do anything. And you talk about air space we are least bothered if you dont give airspace to fly. we are not beggars we have our own way to make way and fly.
Next we will occupy so called POK . lets see who will come to your rescue, dont ever dream about Kashmir in future that you can create problems in Kashmir.
now our PM is MODI not manmohan singh who was quiet even after Bihar regiment 2 soldiers head was beheaded and taken by Pakistani soldiers.
now we will also reply in the same way. Its better you take out all terrorist from Kashmir or else we will search and kill each and everyone.
This is also a wake up call for some people who supports Pakistan whole heartedly by staying within our country like A. owaisi either leave India or be an Indian.

Flying over Paki airspace is not the only option. Nevertheless a rule prevails to ask for permission prior to deciding the route.

Next time, don't ask for alms from beggars.

    Krishna,
I totally agree with you, the ultimate sufferer is common man of Pakistan. We are least bothered on the status of Pakis, but we should worry on the prevailing Economic sitiuation in India, and the present govt. and godi media succeeded in fooling us and diverting the attention of common man
