Mangaluru: Dr Shivakumar Magada delivers sixth session of EDU-PATH 2019

Mangaluru, Sep 7: “Do not take your life as it comes, make it your own,” said Dr Shivakumar Magada, Professor of Aquatic Biology, College of Fisheries in his session on 'EDU-PATH 2019', conducted for the II PUC students of Expert Pre-University College, Kodialbail, here.

EDU-PATH is an extensive career guidance lecture series which focuses on imparting detailed and current information on all the options available in higher education.

In his lecture, Dr Shivakumar Magada highlighted that students have a greater role to play in eradicating world hunger. He explained the scope and opportunities in Agricultural Science and its allied courses. He then encouraged them to take up these courses and to pursue a career as agricultural scientists. He asked the students to serve the country that they are born in.



He emphasized the need for technological advancement in farming which will be possible only through the dynamic ideas of young minds. Inspiring the students to always stay positive, he urged them to work smart and have a specific goal. This was followed by an interactive session in which the resource person answered numerous questions pertaining to the engineering field.

Karunakar Balkur, coaching coordinator – Expert PU College and other teaching staff were present. Srushti of II PUC welcomed the guest and compered the programme.
