Udupi: Teachers’ Day celebrated at SDM Ayurveda College and Hospital, Katpady

Udupi, Sep 7: Teachers’ Day was celebrated at Sri Dharmastala Ayurveda College, Katpady, Udupi on Sep 5. Dr Ramachandra Pande, retired president, Kashi University, Varanasi was the Chief Guest. Retired principal Dr U N Prasad, senior professor Subrahmanya Bhat P were present as Guests of honor. Dr Niranjan Rao, Head of postgraduate studies welcomed and introduced the guests.

Dr U N Prasad was felicitated. He explained the importance of Gurupoornima and teachers day.

Senior professor Subrahmanya Bhat P was presented excellent teacher award and honored. SDM Ayurveda hospital medical superintendent Dr Mamata K V and Siddhanta department head Dr Srikant P H commended the felicities.

Dr Ramachandra Pande explained the relationship between astrology and Ayurveda and said that experiments about them are in progress in Banares University, Kashi. He added that more research about them is needed.

College principal Dr G Srinivas Acharya addressed the audience. Assistant head of postgraduate studies Dr Nagaraj S rendered vote of thanks. Student welfare officer Dr Sucheta Kumari and co officer Dr Veerakumar K were on the dais. Assistant professor Dr Likhita D N and Dr Ravi K V compered the programme.
