New Delhi, Sep 7 (IANS): A 26-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping in front of Delhi Metro at Model Town Metro station on Saturday, the police said.
The deceased has been identified as Sonakshi Garg, a resident of Delhi's Paharganj area. Police have recovered a suicide note from her possession in which she had held no one responsible for her action.
A police officer said a police control room (PCR) call about the incident was received at Azadpur Metro police station. "A police team rushed to the spot and found the girl dead. Her body has been shifted to BJRM Hospital for autopsy," said the officer.
"During initial investigation, it was revealed that the girl was undergoing treatment for a longtime. Police have initiated inquest proceedings," the police said.
