Pakistani actress runs into Nick Jonas at US Open


Islamabad, Sep 8 (IANS): One of the highest paid actress in Pakistan, Mehwish Hayat ran into American singer Nick Jonas at a tennis match in the US and shared a photo of them.

The "Load Wedding" star met Nick at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York where she was attending the men's semi-final of the US Open.

Mehwish shared a picture of herself with Nick on her Instagram and Twitter accounts with a caption, "Guess who I ran into at the US Open Men's Semi Finals in New York! One thing we both agreed on was that we were both rooting for @rafaelnadal!"

Nick's wife, actress Priyanka Chopra, was also spotted attending the US Open a few days ago with her mother Madhu Chopra.

Twitter reactions on the post ranged from excitement and well-wishes for the actor to some making comparisons between Priyanka and Mehwish.

The Pakistani actress is currently visiting the US on a leisure trip to spend some quality time with her family.

Mehwish has expressed her viewpoints at various international platforms about the alleged stereotyping of Pakistanis and Muslims in Hollywood films. Recently, she also urged Bollywood and Hollywood not to project a negative image of her country.
