Mangaluru: Presidency School hosts 6th Interschool Swimming Competition

Mangaluru. Sep 9: Presidency School hosted the 6th Interschool Swimming Competition on September 6. A total of 246 participants from 44 Schools from Mangalore, Udupi, Manipal, Puttur, Vittal, Karkala and Surathkal participated in the competition.

Lokraj, head coach Mangala Swimming Club, was the chief guest. He inaugurated the meet. In his address he said that he is happy to be a part of competition from the past 5 years and also that it is a wonderful opportunity to all students to showcase their talent and added saying that there are many schools in Dakshina Kannada district which has a swimming pool but no schools come forward and organize swimming competition like this, He thanked the management for the support and also the organizers for doing it consecutively for 6 years and expecting many more years to follow.

Madhulika, associate principal of Presidency School felicitated the winners with trophies, medals and certificates at the closing ceremony. The overall championship winners were St Theresa‘s, Bendore and St Aloysius Urwa were the runners-up.

Among others, management coordinator Javed, admin Pratibha Chethan, headmistress Suganthi and Lokraj, head coach of Mangala Swimming Club were also present on the occasion.
