Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 10 (IANS): A video showing a baby falling out of a moving SUV in the forest area near Munnar in Kerala went viral on social media on Monday.
The video shows the one-year-old girl crawling on the road even as her parents drove away without noticing that their daughter had fallen out of the vehicle. The parents and their extended family present in the car apparently dozed off when the incident occurred.
The child was later rescued by forest officials and handed over to her parents.
The CCTV footage shows the baby falling off the moving SUV and crawling on the deserted road in the dark. A forest official noticed the baby near a check post with injury marks on her head.
As per reports, the child, her parents and their extended family were returning home after visiting a temple in Tamil Nadu.
