Mangaluru: Freshers’ Fair held at Srinivas institute

Mangaluru, Sep 14: Freshers’ Fair for Srinivas College of Physiotherapy and Research Centre BPT and MPT batches and Srinivas Insititute of Nursing Sciences for the academic year 2019-20 were held on September 13 at Hotel Srinivas, GHS Road, here.

The fair started with a welcome speech by Dr S Rajasekar, prinicipal, Srinivas College of Physiotherapy and was followed by lighting a lamp by the dignitaries and the fresher students along with their parents.

Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru and vice president A Shama Rao Foundation who was the chief guest inaugurated the ceremony and congratulated and bestowed his best wishes and blessings on the new students.

A Mitra S Rao, secretary A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru addressed the gathering with her inspiring words and wished all the very best to the new students for choosing such a noble profession and also wishing their parents for encouraging them to join this institute, which has been catering world class education and knowledge to the student community since the last 25 years.

Dr Thrishala Noronha, assistant professor, Srinivas College of Physiothrapy oriented the physiotherapy students regarding the course, rules, ragging free campus, job opportunities, hostel facilities and its duration and encouraged them to work diligently toward success.

Prof Florine Clara Fernandes, prinicipal Srinivas Institute of Nursing Sciences oriented the nursing students regarding rules and regulations, hostel facilities and scope of nursing in India and abroad.

Lastly, the programme ended with a vote of thanks by Shanti Moras, associate professor, Srinivas Insitiute of Nursing Sciences and the National Anthem.
