At the very outset why section 144 was imposed following the abrogation of article 370 if people of Kashmir accepted this change. So, the govt knew there going to be a mass protest because it was done against the will of the people. It was done at gun point of elected functioning representatives of the state by holding them captives and immediately imposing president's rule so that BJP can abrogate article 370 without hurdles which is not a legal procedure to abrogate an article of the constitution. This is a very valid point with regard to violation of constitutional rights. So, SC should seriously act on this point and uphold the constitution.

Not against the will of the common people, but was definitely done against the will of the Pak sponsored separatists and terrorists and against the will of the two (princely) families. Ask a poor helpless man who was driven out of his home 25 years ago and living like a refugee in Delhi, Mumbai or Bangalore. He will explain it to you.
