Ras Al Khaimah, Sep 16: The Ras Al Khaimah Misdemeanour Court held three men on trial for fighting with each other and assaulting a police officer.

The Arab men were allegedly fighting over a woman. The first suspect was guilty of abusing the second and the third defendant while inebriated. He was also accused of assaulting the security guard and spraying nerve gas on his face.

However, the first suspect denied the allegations of assault but admitted to consuming alcohol. He claimed that it was a security man who thrashed him and sprayed gas on his face.

The second suspect defended himself stating that he wasn't related to the other two and was dragged into the fight. According to the second suspect he was neither beaten nor did he assault.

The third suspect failed to show up regardless of being notified by RAK police.

For now, the court has adjourned the hearing of the case until September 19.
