Mangaluru, Sep 17: In order to spread and recognise 'swachhata awareness' and implement it across the country, CBSE from September 1 to 15 directed all its schools to observe 'Swachhata Pakwada'.
Under this directive, St Agnes CBSE School, Bendore, here enthusiastically organised activities to achieve the vision of a clean India. Awareness on Swachhata and personal hygiene were highlighted during the morning assembly throughout the week. The teachers gave talks on awareness of Dengue and Malaria. The students took part in poster making and
drawing competition on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat’which were displayed around the school premises.
The teachers and students participated in cleaning the classroom as well as the school premises. There was a small symposium on ‘Hand Wash’ where the procedures of hand washing were demonstrated and much appreciated by the children.
The ‘Swachhata Pakwada’ week ended with a rally by holding placards and shouting slogans on Swachhata.
Prizes were distributed to further felicitate the students. All the above activities conducted by the school, enabled the mission of cleanliness to be taken across communities, thereby creating mass awareness.
