Mangaluru, Sep 18: St Agnes Pre-University College shuttle badminton team emerged as runners at the taluk level Shuttle Badminton Tournament organized by Sharada PU College in collaboration with the department of Pre-University Education, Dakshina Kannada, here. The team members are Bhramari, Deepika Bhat and Rischika Thimmaiah.
These players had been selected for the district level tournament which they won. The team was accompanied by Jayashree, the physical directress.
In the district level football tournament jointly organized by the department of Pre-University Education, Dakshina Kannada, here, in collaboration with Yenepoya PU Collge, Derlakatte, St Agnes Pre-University College team secured runners-up trophy.
The team members were Anjali, Dale, Clareesha, Venessa, Yajna, Likitha, Vibhinna, Prathima, Sharon, Diya, Myola, Preema, Fathima and Ancy.
Dale, Prathima, Clarissa, Diya and Myola were selected for the state level tournament. The team was accompanied by Jayashree, the physical directress.
In the district level handball tournament organized by Alva’s PU College in collaboration with the department of Pre-University Education, Dakshina Kannada, here, St Agnes Pre-University College handball team emerged as runners.
The team members were Nithya, Susan Mendonca, Diya, Disha, Ancita, Deepa, Shaina, Nydile, Ishika, Shania, Prajna, Treeza, Melrinand Lynn. Four players are selected for the state level tournament. The team was accompanied by Jayashree, the physical directress.
At the taluk level table tennis tournament organized by Sharada PU College in collaboration with the department of Pre-University Education, Dakshina Kannada, here, St Agnes Pre-University College emerged as runners.
The team members were Bhagyashree, Susan Mendonca and Diya. Two players are selected for the district level tournament.
Jayashree, the physical directress accompanied the teams during the various tournaments.
In the district level wrestling tournament held at St Aloysius PU College, St Agnes PU College students Shourya Shetty, Prakrithi Shetty, Anisha, Disha, Nithya secured second place in 53 kg, 57 kg, 59 kg, 65 kg, 76 kg category free style wrestling respectively. Vinola garnered first place in 62 kg free style wrestling and is selected for state level.
Shourya Shetty, Diya, Rischika, Shreya, Raichel D'Souza won first place in 50 kg, 55 kg, 45 kg, 40 kg and 35 kg category belt wrestling respectively and they are selected for state level which will be held at Davanagere.
