Sonia and Manmohan to meet Chidambaram in Tihar

New Delhi, Sep 23: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi are likely to meet P Chidambaram in Tihar jail on Monday, reported ANI source.  

Chidambaram has been under judicial custody in Tihar jail since August 21, after he was arrested by CBI regarding INX Media scam, reportedly up to the tune of 305 crore in 2007.

This is for the first time that Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh has visited the jail premises to meet any party leader lodged there.

Chidambaram has been lodged in Jail No. 7 of the Tihar jail, which is meant for economic offenders.

Chidambaram’s judicial custody has been extended by Delhi court on Thursday till October 3 according to a corruption case filed by the CBI. Chidambaram had complained of back pain as he neither had a chair or pillow in his cell in Tihar.

    ..karma haunts..During Congress Govt MMS was PM,Sonia was super PM, Chidu was HM..Central agencies tipped of about 4 fidayins entering Gujrat state..they were under surveillance from central agencies,Maharastra ATS & Gujrat ATS..terrorsit encountered in Gujrat..they were hailed as martyr by let/jem..but what central Govt Congress govt did later to CM Modi/HM Shah was unpardonable..
