Petrol, diesel prices surge for 7th straight day


New Delhi, Sep 23 (IANS): Petrol and diesel prices in the country continued to surge for the seventh day on Monday on the back of the ongoing tensions in the Middle East and the US-China trade war.

Petrol rates in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai were Rs 73.91, Rs 76.60, Rs 79. 57 and Rs 76.83 per litre respectively, while diesel rates were recorded at Rs 66.93, Rs 69.35, Rs 70.22 and Rs 70.76 per litre in the four metros, according to the Indian Oil Limited website.

Petrol and diesel prices have registered a significant jump over the past six days, with Delhi seeing petrol prices increase to Rs 1.88 per litre and diesel prices hike to Rs 1.50 per litre.

ICE November Brent futures were trading $0.51 higher at $64.93 per barrel in the international market.

    Such price hike and short supply takes place only in India.
    Other governments globally try their best to act according to the situation by substituting from the reserve oil stored.

    Let dollar and petrol price increase in same speed..reach upto round figure to 100. Now India is having much reserve to give aid either to russia or america. Increased dollar price will be happy to howdy NRI's. Ab sab tik-tak chal raha hai. Some people are visiting jails to see condition of living for near future.

    People,

    Iranian attack on Saudi oil storage facility increased International Crude oil price by more than 10 % in a day...

    They are down 5% since then....So Petroleum prices should go down in next few days...

    We have highest taxes and levies on Petroleum products in the world...US Petroleum prices are much lower than India...India should reduce taxes on petroleum products...to be competitive in the world..
