Mangaluru, Sep 26: Calls of green revolution can be heard everywhere these days. We eat clean food everyday regardless of whether we are vegetarians or non-vegetarians. Vegetables are essential for vegetarians, but it is difficult to find quality vegetables.

Milagres CBSE School, Hampankatta has taken a bold step in this direction to grow a vegetable garden in the school premises with the cooperation of the students and school management. Okra, ridge gourd, peas and brinjal plants grown in the garden are yielding. The saplings are grown using organic manure.



The school is an example that garden can be grown in the midst of concrete building. The students get training in extra curricular activity along with academic studies in this manner.
