3 held at IGIA with 160 kg red sandalwood


New Delhi, Sep 28 (IANS): Three men were arrested with 160 kg red sandalwood by the Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) personnel at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), here on Friday, an official said on Saturday.

CISF spokesman Hemendra Singh told IANS the accused -- Ashish Chhabra, Deepak Mehroliya and Sandesh Dhingya -- had been handed over to the Customs Department officials.

The value of recovered wood was estimated to be Rs 13 lakh.

They were arrested from Terminal 3 of the IGIA. One of the accused had entered the plane after completing all formalities. He was deboarded.
