Mangaluru: ‘Surabhi’ cultural inter college fest inaugurated at SDIT

Mangaluru, Oct 1: Shree Devi Institute of Technology (SDIT) inaugurated cultural inter college fest, Shree Devi Surabhi-19, themed ‘Show the world who you are’ on September 27, at their Kenjar campus.

Shree Devi Surabhi 2019 is a display of multi-disciplinary matrix of events such as culture, technology and talent coupled in teams of Engineering, MBA, MCA and MTech Students.

This programme spreads the joy of celebrations and opens-up talents’ in students to bring forward the spirit of freedom through, which students can express their emotions in various art forms and make a mark for themselves by enhancing their confidence levels through talent demonstration.

The chief guest of the programme was Niriksha Shetty Puttur, celebrity of Coastalwood, motivated students to build self-belief to make a mark in life.

She said, “A college that supports students to open up is an institution to be in; as the theme states “show the world who you are,” and hence she reiterated confidence is the essence to generate passion and passion leads to leadership, intern leads to brilliant performances.

Dr K E Prakash, director, Shree Devi Institute of Technology, said, “Shree Devi Surabhi 19, sets students in a great momentum to achieve greater altitudes, at the same time students come together and work in teams to create a symphony of rhythm by organizing multiple events.”

Dr Prakash presided over the programme and motivated students to participate wholeheartedly to create a great benchmark for the future batches to take note.

Dr. Dilip Kumar K, principal, Shree Devi Institute of Technology, welcomed the gathering and reiterated that this platform is a great opportunity to showcase their talents which may lead a student to greater strides and to overcome challenges ahead in life. He also a presented a bird’s eye view of the programme and various rounds like: solo singing, group dance, cooking with-out fire, fashion show, face painting, stress interview, treasure hunt, best out of waste, best dressed man and women and many more.

Prof Nayana Yadav, convener of the programme, said, “Events like these shape up student’s character, abilities and improve stage performance skills that are essential for all round development of a student’s personality. Shree Devi Surabhi 19 bridges the gap between genders and ensures equilibrium of greater heights in synergy; be it either girl or boy in participation of various events.” She also thanked each one of the coordinating committees and all the individuals during her vote of thanks presentation.
