London, Oct 1 (IANS): Bayern Munich's most expensive buy, Lucas Hernandez, feels the current fees on the transfer market puts pressure on players to deliver as clubs spend a fortune to get their signature.
"Transfer fees have recently become more and more exaggerated. Unbelievable sums are being paid," Hernandez was quoted as saying by broadcaster DAZN.
"Due to all the trust the club has placed in me with this sum, it is now up to me to pay it back on the pitch and to give my all," the 2018 World Cup winner added.
Frenchman Hernandez was roped in for 80 million euros from Atletico Madrid in July.
"One day the club, should also be proud of the fact that they spent this money for me," he said.
