India's stature rising on world stage: PM Modi

Ahmedabad, Oct 2 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday asserted that India's stature was rising on the world stage because it is seen at the forefront of several positive changes.

"Respect for India is increasing all over. One can experience the change. The world can see that India is at the forefront of several positive changes taking place on the world stage," the Prime Minister said at the Ahmedabad airport.

The fact that India always believes in taking everyone along has also been noted, he said. Referring to his recent visit to the US, Modi said "we saw a glimpse of the respect India has at the world stage during the 'Howdy Modi' programme in Houston. At that programme, Republicans and Democrats spoke. Their coming was very special."

Modi also noted that Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary has been marked at the United Nations with immense enthusiasm. The Prime Minister said that Gandhi's teachings offer solutions to any problem the world faces.

"Take any problem the world faces, the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi offer solutions to those challenges."

Modi had assured Sheikh Hasina that NRC would have "no impact on Bangladesh" and there was no need to be worried about it. He gave the assurance at a meeting with Hasina at Lotte New York Palace hotel on the sidelines of the 74th UN General Assembly last Friday.

If Muslim refugees are not sent to Bangladesh, a question arises as to where Shah wants to throw them? Detention centers or into the Bay of Bengal?

Union Home Minister and BJP’s national president Amit Shah has unequivocally stated that the government will extend the National Register of Citizens (NRC) to West Bengal. This is a 180-degree turn on part of the ruling party within a week.

Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday sensationally said that refugees of all other faiths except Muslim will be granted Indian citizenship to ensure that they don’t run the risk of being forced to leave India after the NRC rollout.

Amit Shah reveals BJP government’s dangerous anti-Muslim plan on NRC of ethenic cleansing by throwing them in 'detention camp' similar to Nazi Germany's concentrated camp.

In Bengal, AmitShah says we will first bring the citizenship amendment act and then do the NRC.. in Assam, the BJP Govt has done just the opposite. Different strokes for different folks/states!Vote bank politics anyone?
I have never seen someone shameless and communal like AmitShah. Our constitution treats everyone equally and this country runs on the guidelines of the constitution. If the infiltrator is threat then it is a threat irrespective of religion.
The BJP has vowed to form its government in Bengal. Analysts feel that the only way the saffron party can realistically form its government in a state with a significantly large Muslim population is by first disenfranchising them in the guise of NRC, which has rendered more than 19 lakh people stateless in Assam.
One of the worst Human Rights records India's statures is fallen to the lowest. The words don't justify without official records from the government.

Its an insult to Mahatma Gandhi to defame him in world stage by taking away his secular ideology replacing with hindutva ideology. World has lost respect towards India politically, democracy wise and all want to cajole India to take away money from India at the cost of poor. India still a third world country at world stage. They say its a developing country only to sneak in to India because they need to sell their goods specially arms (135 billion?).

The governments thinking process is impaired and howdy Modi is just a empty show to the audience at home who get hyped.

Modi Self-Praising is No Recommendation. Looks like Modi can not find anyone in the whole world who can praise him despite bribing them to do so. So now he has started praising his own tail. If you can hear world is questioning you about plight of minorities in India particularly from US senators.
