New Delhi, Jul 25: Mangalorean Alwyn Noronha is the executive vice-president - projects of the Indian corporate giant, ITC Ltd. He was the person who led the team that designed and constructed the ITC Green Centre at Gurgaum, Haryana near Delhi.

Befittingly, Alwyn was chosen by the company management to be its spokesperson during the special visit of USA secretary of state Hillary Clinton during her just-concluded visit to the country, to ITC Green Centre, which came in for lot of appreciation from her.

Alwyn showed the team comprising of Hillary, environment and forests union minister Jairam Ramesh, both incoming and outgoing US ambassadors to India and Meera Kumar, Indian ambassador to the US and several other officials and dignitaries, through the Centre.

It is gathered, that ITC is the only company in the world of its size and diversity, to be carbon-positive, water-positive and solid waste-recycling positive. It is a matter of pride for the Mangaloreans to know that one of their own has contributed significantly to this achievement.

Its wonderful to know about the great deeds of our Mangalorean brothers. Inspite of this, they are still so humble and keep doing the good work. Best wishes
