A$AP Rocky defends love for nail art after being tagged gay

Los Angeles, Oct 4 (IANS): Rapper A$AP Rocky has been into nail art lately and he doesn't thing it's something he should be ashamed of.

The "Praise the Lord" rapper defended his love for manicure, which raised many people's eyebrows, during an interview with British Vogue, reports aceshowbiz.com.

The 30-year-old hip-hop star shared that he thought men should be able to engage in nail art "without feeling feminine".

A$AP Rocky added that he met a woman who drew Prada on his nails when he was shooting his Prada collaboration.

"She did my nails for the photos," A$AP said.

In the interview, he also said that he only wanted what he wanted to do without thinking too much of what other people would think.

"I do what the f**k I want. It's just like hey, you know? There are no boundaries," he said.

When asked if he thought that masculinity was diminished by focusing on beauty, the spitter said it wasn't like that for him. The "Testing" star, who was released from Sweden prison last month after being involved in a street brawl in the country, said he "could have been a gangster," but he wasn't.

He claimed to be "a pretty boy instead."

Many were not impressed.

"No real man would wear nail art. Your nails cannot look like mines unless your my girlfriend. Nice try tho," one fan wrote in the comment of one of his Instagram post in which he showed off his nail.

Another said: "Gay a** asap rocky."
