Mangaluru: St Agnes CBSE School Bendore hold week-long Mahatma Gandhi birth anniversary celebrations

Mangaluru, Oct 5: Being a significant year for India, St Agnes CBSE School, Bendore, here contributed their bit in the sesquicentennial birth celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi. The week-long celebrations comprised of competitions like:

On October 2, the programme began with Dr Nancy H D’Costa, Associate Professor, department of Secretarial Practice, St Agnes College as chief guest.

Celebrations were put together by classes 5, 6 and 8. The festivities were a culmination of a welcome dance, tableau on Gandhian values and principles and a peppy patriotic dance.

The chief guest delivered a relevant message on the importance of not resorting to violent means and methods in today’s world.



The celebrations ended with Shramadhan by the school students and staff. The students were duly felicitated for their active participation.

Everyone took home a valuable message of simplicity, truthfulness, faith and non-violence.
