New Delhi, Sep 5: Former Union Finance Minister and Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram, who has been kept under  judicial custody in Tihar jail for past four weeks, was referred to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for medical check-up after he complained of stomach ache on Saturday, news agency ANI tweeted.

He had also requested for home cooked food day before yesterday, and court granted him permission to have once a day from home.  

P Chidambaram haas been lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail since August 21 in the INX Media case. The CBI and Enforcement Directorate have accused him of misusing his position as India's finance minister to benefit INX Media.

The ANI agency further tweeted that he had not been admitted to the hospital yet.


On Thursday, Chidambaram moved a bail petition in the Supreme Court and and requested the court to schedule an early hearing.

    Its seems the curse of Indians haunting him very badly ! However, the lessons are not learnt by the politicians and should have changed their mind set according the current time !! They are still living in a era where there was no connection to the public by social media which is now act like lightning speed provides the information with evidence. Better these oldies should resign or take volunteer retirement gracefully for the sake of nation!

    He is far better than Ur Amit Shah and all ur Karnataka bjp politicians. He is suffering because of Ur Revenge politics and made responsible just for signing the documents. Even if u search 70 years congress history, u will never find so many liers, corrupt minded, undeducated, religious oriented politicians in congress. Difficult to digest the truth, but it is Ur fate.
