New Delhi, Sep 5: Former Union Finance Minister and Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram, who has been kept under judicial custody in Tihar jail for past four weeks, was referred to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for medical check-up after he complained of stomach ache on Saturday, news agency ANI tweeted.
He had also requested for home cooked food day before yesterday, and court granted him permission to have once a day from home.
P Chidambaram haas been lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail since August 21 in the INX Media case. The CBI and Enforcement Directorate have accused him of misusing his position as India's finance minister to benefit INX Media.

The ANI agency further tweeted that he had not been admitted to the hospital yet.
On Thursday, Chidambaram moved a bail petition in the Supreme Court and and requested the court to schedule an early hearing.
