Ahead of Assembly polls, Rahul Gandhi leaves for Bangkok

New Delhi Oct 6 (IANS): Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has left for Bangkok on Saturday, as per media reports.

Ahead of the crucial Aseembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana scheduled for October 21, Rahul Gandhi leaving the country will raise many eyebrows.

As per reports, Rahul Gandhi left for Bangkok on a Vistara flight on Saturday.

The Congress is presently facing tough challenge to contain dissidence within its ranks with Rahul Gandhi's aide and former Haryana Congress President Ashok Tanwar resigning from the party on Saturday.

Tanwar has alleged that those groomed by Rahul Gandhi are being sidelined in the party.

Rahul travelling again to Thailand - perhaps this is not a pleasure trip ? We know that his mother is unwell; could he be seeking alternate therapy for her. Its curious as no one has been able to produce any photos from his last trip there.

If he is travelling for the sake of his mother's well-being, then its no laughing matter. Afterall even Vajpayee went to the US for a kidney operation in the guise of representing at a UN meet.

So what? Why is this news even being published. On the one hand critics do not want the involvement of the Gandhi family in Congress affairs and keep saying FAMILY and now that he has distance himself are criticising him? He is no longer the President of the Congress and is just an ordinary member. Let him live his life as he pleases. It is nobody's business, least of all of bhakts.
