Bantwal, Oct 10: In murders which took place at Farangipet within the limits of the rural police station here on September 26, 2017, two men, Jia and Fayaz, had been killed.
Jabbar alias Maripalla Jabbar (42) from Maripalla, Farangipet, who happened to be the main accused in this case, had remained evasive since then. Jabbar had been booked under sections 302, 307, 324, 143, 148, 147, 120 (B) and 149 of Indian Penal Code relating to case No. 296/2017 registered in the rural police station here.
In an operation launched by the police circle inspector form Bantwal and other personnel on Wednesday October 9, Jabbar was taken into custody from Kankanady in Mangaluru. He was produced in the court for further legal action.
