Following the incident, BJP spokesperson, Sambit Patra slammed the liberals on his official Twitter handle for not raking up the issue with Mamata Banerjee. Patra described the act 'nauseating selectivism'.
Reacting to the triple murder, BJP leader Babul Supriyo questioned WB chief minister Mamata Banerjee saying, “Does Maa, Maati, Manush mean anything to you?”

BJP MLA Raja Singh also urged Home Minister Amit Shah to order a high-level investigation and said, “Where are the secular and liberal leaders hiding?”
The attacks on RSS and right-wing activists are growing ever since the Lok Sabha 2019 elections. TMC has been accused of orchestrating more of the attacks, meanwhile, in response, the TMC has accused BJP of the attack on the TMC workers.
Earlier, while addressing a rally in West Bengal, BJP working president JP Nadda alleged that the state was under 'jungle raj' and 'state terrorism'. He further slammed the Mamata government for the 'physical liquidation of political opponents'.
"There is no law and order. The government which has created a jungle raj is neither upholding the law nor ensuring judicial remedy. Even justice is not being given to the families of victims," he added.
After his address, Nadda even met the families of the slaughtered political activists and reported that even police complaints were not being filed properly.
