Riyadh, Oct 10: The DKMO (Dakshina Karnataka Muslim Okkoota), Riyadh, conducted the annual 'Grand family Get Together -2019 on October 3, at Taqat Vue Resort Sulay, Riyadh. It was well organized and the well-attended crowd was the main factor of success.
DKMO is a unique organization set up in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh to support the family of the deceased member in a case of the sudden death of their breadwinners, so far it has served 12 such FRF cases. At present DKMO is providing Rs 3 Lac to the family of deceased and in the future, after enrolling more number of members, DKMO is looking forward to rendering support with Rs 5 Lac. Currently, DKMO has expanded its objectives like financial loan, air tickets for stranded NRI’s, general relief fund, microloan to support self-employment in India, support for anti-dowry marriages and campaigns, employment scheme and emergency response team.
DKMO had undertaken a new project in Dakshina Karnataka to create an awareness within the common people over the Government Schemes which will benefit the community in the district.
At present, DKMO is focusing on health schemes and has appointed a representative in Mangaluru to conduct awareness program and to assist the patients all over Dakshina Karnataka.
The DKMO team spirit was appreciated and their efforts on supporting the NRI community has significantly touched the hearts of the Public. Awe-Inspiring reception welcomed the crowd to this mega event. Rashad Dawood Kajemar inaugurated the event with qirath followed by a stage function and much other fun-filled indoor and outdoor activities.
The stage program started with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Adil Hussain. DKMO treasurer Abdul Rahiman Yermal welcomed all the guests to the dais. Basheer Talapady, a vibrant spokesman compered the event with a brief introduction of the program to the audience. DKMO president, Abdul Azeez Bajpe presided over the function. Abdul Mohin executive director of Durat Lamar Medical Center and DKMO event directors GK Shekabba and Fazlurrahman shared the stage with chief guests.
The chief guest of the event Shihab Kottukkadu, a well-known humanitarian and recipient of the highest civilian NRI award "Pravasi Bharatiya Samman" in his motivational speech encouraged DKMO team to go beyond the limit in this charitable field. He explained to the audience about the importance of family, relatives and social lives. He assured to provide embassy support for any requirements in the future.
Another prominent chief guest Dr Tahir Bengaluru, of King Saud University, inspired by DKMO activities, encouraged the crowd to support DKMO in all aspects.
Abdul Azeez Bajpe in his presidential speech briefed the audience about the DKMO activities and thanked all the audience, sponsors & well-wishers for their support & encouragement.
Fazlurrahman Kolkar presented DKMO activities through PPT presentation and detailed the DKMO activities to all attendees.
A well-deserved youth icon, social worker Ibrahim Bajpe (Ibba) was felicitated with “DKMO Community Service Award” for his dedication, commitment and hard work for the betterment of the community.
Meanwhile, the crowd was kept under sweet pressure with an exciting raffle draw and spot quizzes. Quiz Master, Nazeer Hassan interestingly puzzled the children and adults with Islamic and general questions and the winners were encouraged with dazzling gift hampers. At the end of the stage programme, Nazeer Hassan conveyed the vote of thanks to all guests and audiences.
As a whole, all the guests enjoyed the sumptuous dinner with hot beverages, sweets, welcome drinks, snacks and fruits. As a special addition, many different food stalls were challenging their taste. Shareef Thokur and his team supervised and well managed the food arrangements.
On the other side, ladies volunteers conducted numerous activities like quiz program, spot games and outdoor sports and distributed fascinating prizes to all the winners.
Haneef NS, Irfan, Moidin Jokatte, Nayaz, Yousuf and team energetically conducted various outdoor games like tug of war, running race, and gunny bag race for children and cricket, tug of war and push-ups for adults.
Khatarnak Mallar and MCA Riyadh emerged as winners and runners up of 30 Yard's Cricket and Deera Guys & Bangalore Guys emerged as the winners and runners up for the Tug of War. Faisal Hussain from Kolkata was the winner of the Push-Up competition.

During the closing ceremony, DKMO loan convener, Shamsuddin Addoor thanked all the guests, crowds, sponsors, supporters, well-wishers, volunteers and executive members. On marking the conclusion, whole DKMO team pledged to utilize the fund raised from this event to support the helpless NRIs and needy people back home.
