TECNO CAMON 12 Air smartphone launches in India


New Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS): Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings' subsidiary TECNO Mobile on Monday launched their new budget smartphone 'CAMON 12 Air' in India for Rs 9,999.

"TECNO CAMON 12 Air is currently holding the crown of bringing the most affordable ‘Dot in-display' in the offline space. We are confident that with this new festive product portfolio, we will amaze the consumer and consolidate our brand position among Top 5 offline smartphone brands of India under Rs 10,000-segment," Arijeet Talapatra, CEO, TRANSSION India said in a statement.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 6.55 inches HD+ dot-in display and offers a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The device is powered by the Helio P22 Octa-core system-on-chip, mated with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, supports expandable memory up to 128GB with a 3-in-1 multi card slot.

The phone houses 16MP+2MP+5MP triple camera at the back and an 8MP AI selfie camera placed in the in-dot area on its front.

The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie and packs a 4000mAh battery.
