Mumbai, Oct 14 (IANS): Be it the "Tanu Weds Manu" series or "Raanjhanaa", Aanand L. Rai's films is known for capturing the essence of small towns on the big screen.

Rai's acclaimed historical horror co-production "Tumbbad" has turned one, and the filmmaker laid importance on making films based on the real and diverse stories.

I have always believed that India is a diverse land, which makes it a perfect cocoon of amazing, real and diverse stories," said Rai.

Directed by Rahi Anil Barve and Adesh Prasad, "Tumbbad" tells the tale of 19th-century India, where a scheming man becomes obsessed with finding the mythical treasure of his ancestors.
