Miss Kohima contestant asks PM Modi to prioritize women over cows

Daijiworld Media Network - Kohima (SHP)

Kohima, Oct 16: A contestant at the Miss Kohima pageant in Nagaland on October 5, had a striking message for Prime Minister Narendra Modi during one of the Q&A rounds. The contestant, Vikuonuo Sachu was asked by one of the judges, what would she tell PM Modi if invited for a chat with him. The answer given by Vikuonuo made her a viral sensation.

"If I were invited to have a chat with the prime minister of India, I would tell him to focus more on women instead of cows," the 18-year-old said.

Sachu's answer sent a roar in the audience. According to Nagaland Post, Sachu was declared the second runner-up in the pageant.

In recent time, alleged 'Gau Rakshaks' have been going rampant with their 'ideologies'. In September, PM Modi made a statement where he claimed that people are fearful when 'Om' or 'Cow' words are spoken.

"It is hair raising for some people when they hear words like 'gaay' (cow) and Om,  end. They feel that the country has gone back to the 16th century. But, can one talk about the rural economy without animals," PM Modi said as he launched the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) along with other schemes for farmers.

    Dear Vikas,

How sad that we cant accept truth if it does not suit our emotions or thinking. Tell me one thing is that why is there this cow protection racket called Gau Raksha when many cattle are being slaughtered in all factories owned by Hindus to make India the number one beef exporter. This even our honorbale PM Modi sir has stated that India is the no 1 beef exporter. Are the cattle slaughtered in these factories not related to the hindu belief of are these cattle unholy. I doubt there is as huge nefarious activity between the factory owners and the Rakhaks to bring down the prices of cattle as they cannot be sold in the open market and since demand is less the prices drop and the factory owners get to make huge profit from low prices. A share of the profit might be shared with the Rakshaks.
I dont see any other reason for the drama as states ruled by the BJP like GOA and Northeast have sale and consumption of beef as legal. Again the question is that is it not holy for the Rakshaks in these states where the ruling government is the BJP in majority.

My dear fellow countrymen and Indian citizens, please awake from your deep deep slumber and do not be fooled by the idiotic statements of the power brokers just to enhance their status and not care for us. You can all see the drama in the last 14 months rule and the current government where all are jut asking for more power and status and ignoring the common man.
No one is bothered for the welfare of the flood affected people and Rs 10,000 is thought to be a huge amount where the poor people have lost house and life and cattle. The center is not looking at our state even though a huge tax revenue goes to the central government pool from our state.

Please avoid all this foolishness and lets live in harmony as before. It is our neighbor, whether Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, who will help us first in a time of calamity then the others.
