Kohima, Oct 16: A contestant at the Miss Kohima pageant in Nagaland on October 5, had a striking message for Prime Minister Narendra Modi during one of the Q&A rounds. The contestant, Vikuonuo Sachu was asked by one of the judges, what would she tell PM Modi if invited for a chat with him. The answer given by Vikuonuo made her a viral sensation.
"If I were invited to have a chat with the prime minister of India, I would tell him to focus more on women instead of cows," the 18-year-old said.
Sachu's answer sent a roar in the audience. According to Nagaland Post, Sachu was declared the second runner-up in the pageant.
In recent time, alleged 'Gau Rakshaks' have been going rampant with their 'ideologies'. In September, PM Modi made a statement where he claimed that people are fearful when 'Om' or 'Cow' words are spoken.
"It is hair raising for some people when they hear words like 'gaay' (cow) and Om, end. They feel that the country has gone back to the 16th century. But, can one talk about the rural economy without animals," PM Modi said as he launched the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) along with other schemes for farmers.
