EC replaces Expenditure Observer of Ambala


New Delhi, Oct 18 (IANS): The Election Commission has replaced Expenditure Observer of Ambala after reviewing the performance of observers in the run-up to the Haryana Legislative Assembly elections which is scheduled next Monday to elect 90 members, the Commission said on Friday.

The Expenditure Observer was removed for not supervising the enforcement activities in "right earnest" and his overall performance was not found satisfactory, the EC said.

New Expenditure Observer of Ambala Ritesh Parmar, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS), has assumed duty on Friday, said the EC.
