New Delhi, Oct 19 (IANSlife): With an aim to revive the theatrical art, Sahitya Kala Parishad is organising a two-day event, titled "Bharatmuni Rang Utsav" in the national capital.

The event starts on October 21 at LTG Auditorium, Copernicus Marg in Delhi and will see four solo/group acts each day.

Sharing his thoughts on the event, Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, said: "Theatrical play is one of the quintessential art of reinterpretation and this needs to be revived. I am glad to see we have many talented artists who are coming together on such a big platform to promote theatrical act. This is one of the cultural events that Delhi audience should look forward to."

The first day of the event will see acts like "Kaalantar" that depicts the face of the society and how women are treated in the same way as they were treated in different eras. There will be other plays named "Zahar","Prem Parinde" and "Dukani" that revolve around various issues of the society.

On day two, there will be acts like "Ramayan", "Aao Tanik Prem Kare", "Vaishnavki Fislan" and "Shahidsaaj".

"Shahidsaaj" by Vijay Singh depicts the life of a merchant who after partition settles in Pakistan to make a profit.
