Middle East requiem

New Delhi, Oct 21 (IANSlife): Fashion and lifestyle brand Vajor's newly launched limited-edition ‘Caspian Folklore autumn collection is inspired by the Middle Eastern countries like Syria, Turkmenistan and Iran around the Caspian Sea, and revisits the rich culture and heritage of these war-torn areas to take a wistful look at the beauty they once held.

The line-up comprises skirts, tops, lehengas, jumpsuits, silhouettes and so on in luxuriously raw fabrics such as crepes and linen blends adding elegance to the ensembles.

A modern bohemian upgrade has been given to skirts to turn it into kalidar shararas. The crop tops have been converted into easy tank tops, instead of a midriff-baring piece to add some functionality. Light weight, jewel-toned lehengas are paired with beautiful embroidered tops giving them a modern appeal.

Fresh, vibrant and earthy colour palette has been used to make the pieces versatile and evergreen. The detailing and the prints speak of the floral embroidery in blue, yellow and white inspired from the nomadic women of the region.
