Bangalore: Three Children Locked Inside House Charred to Death
Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Aug 4: In a tragic accident, three hapless children, four-year-old Babita , her three-year-old sister Rachael and one-and half-year-old Santosh were charred to death when their house caught fire. The children could not escape as they were locked inside by their mother.

The mother of the children, Savitha, did not expect her children's lives  would  be snuffed in a bizarre fire accident when she left for work leaving her children all by themselves.  Apparently she was forced to lock the kids inside  following complaints from neighbors that the children venture out and create a nuisance.

The incident came to light when neighbors noticed thick smoke coming out from the house and informed the police. They broke open the house and rescued the kids, but in vain. The three kids died and the house was partially gutted.

According to Rammurthy Nagar police the mishap might have occurred due to the flip  of a  candle or a similar object which finally burnt the home.

Rammurthy Nagar police inspector, Krishnamurthy said that Savitha, wife of Ravi Shekhar was living alone as her husband deserted her few months back. She was living in a rented house with her three children. She managed to get an Ayah’s ( maid)  job at Saint Paul’s school and decided to leave the children in the house locked  before going to work.

The police have shifted the bodies to Bowring hospital. Police sources said that they are investigating and trying to ascertain the cause of this tragic accident.

"we are the creator of our own destiny'' I agree mother of the innocent children could not afford baby sitting but she should have taken some measures before leaving her children inside. It was her duty to hide those things which can put her children's life in risk.

This is a very Tragic incident, after something goes wrong people will just comment saying this should have been done that should have been done. Think of the mother with 3 small children, with out a husband staying in a rented house struggling to survive and feed the hungry mouths working as a maid in this evil world. This might not have ben the frist time she locked the children inside.

Leaving them out also is not good if some thing happens there also again the people will be blaming the mother. We only know to blame and say this and that no one wants to get involved. I really feel sorry for the mother how can she bear such a tragedy. May God give her strength to bear the loss and may the departed souls rest in peace.

Very very sad to hear this. I really feel pity for this lady to see her children lost. shame on these neighbours they did not save those kids and instead call the for help. and see the faces of those ladies in the pictures they would have purposely left the kids to die in the fire curse on those ladies for killing those kids. i will pray for these kids that they will have a happy place in heaven. and one more thing catch he husband and punish him for leaving their kids and wife like that .

So Sad, Because her husband go away from her, she had to work for their daily food. As there was no way, to keep her kids any where, she kept her kids under lock and going for work. This is the situation for which the father of the children should be blamed.

This is very wrong theory of locking house when children are inside the House. Most of Parents will do the same and it is impossible to them for effort the kids for baby sitting. Neighbors, Relatives and friends has to help this circumstances to each others. Very sad news. Very bad luck to Mrs. Savitha. May the god give strength to Savitha for bare this unfortunate loss.
