L&T's overall Q2 consolidated net profit rise 13.3%


Mumbai, Oct 24 (IANS): Industrial conglomerate Larsen and Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday reported a rise of 13.3 per cent increase in its overall consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 30 of financial year 2019-20.

"The overall PAT at Rs 2,527 crore, including the PAT from discontinued operations for the quarter ended September 30, 2019 grew by 13.3 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous 2 year," the company said in a statement.

"Consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) from continuing operations for the quarter ended September 30, 2019 at Rs 2,309 crore registered growth of 10.3 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous year."

As per the statement, the surge in order intake aided the company to cross the Rs 3 lakh crore order book milestone with "the consolidated order book at Rs 303,222 crore as at September 30, 2019 and with international orders constituting 22 per cent of the total order book".
