Equity market turns flat after opening a tad higher


Mumbai, Oct 25 (IANS): The key Indian equity indices opened marginally higher on Friday before trading on a flat note, following a mixed trend in the Asian markets.

At 9.25 a.m., the Sensex was trading at 39,067.10, higher by 46.71 points or 0.12 per cent from the previous close of 39,020.39 points.

It had opened at 39,201.67 and has so far touched an intra-day high of 39,241.61 and a low of 39,007.06 points.

The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 11,584, higher by 1.40 points or 0.01 per cent from its previous close.
