Mangaluru: Expert PU College gives Rs 4 lac as flood relief to Mandara people

Mangaluru, Oct 25: In the heavy and torrential rains of August this year, Mandara was flooded by garbage from the nearby Pachanadi dumping yard. Seeing the distress caused to the people of Mandara, Expert PU College sent out teachers to instill confidence and courage in the villagers. They also assured them of best monetary assistance to them at that time.

Accordingly, the institution identified 26 such affected families and on Friday, October 25, Expert Educational and Charitable Foundation, Mangaluru, handed over to them a total relief fund cheque of Rs 4 lac. They also urged the government to lend them more assistance.



Chairman of Expert Group Institutions Prof Narendra L Nayak, vice chairperson Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, principal of its Kodialbail college Prof Ramachandra Bhat, principal of Expert College Valachil Dr N K Vijayan, vice principal Prof Raghavendra Shenoy, architect Deepika A Nayak, and head of Kannada department Prof Karunakar Balkur were present.
