BJP and JJP seal Haryana deal - Dushyant Chautala to be Deputy CM

New Delhi, Oct 25 (IANS): The Bharatiya Janata Party and the Jannayak Janata Party on Friday sealed the deal for government formation in Haryana.

The announcement was made by BJP President Amit Shah in the presence of JJP chief Dushyant Chautala.

"The two parties have decided to form the government to respect the mandate of the people. It has been decided that the Chief Minister will be from the BJP and the Deputy CM from the JJP," Shah said.

On his part, Dushyant Chautala said that his party has decided to support the BJP "for the stability of the government in Haryana".

It seems likely that Dushyant Chautala will be the new Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the party has called a meeting of the legislators and will meet the Governor on Saturday to stake claim.

The Chautala clan is making a comeback to power after 15 years, when the JJP leader's grandfather Om Prakash Chautala was defeated by the Congress in the 2004 elections.

The BJP won 40 seats in the October 21 Assembly elections, seven down from its 2014 total and six short of a simple majority in the 90-member House. The JJP, which is less than a year old, won 10 seats.

Ajay Chautala father of Jannayak Janta Party leader Dushyant Chautala involved in the illegal recruitments of thousands of teachers. In 2013, a Delhi court had convicted both of them. They were also held guilty of accepting bribes in exchange recruitments of teachers.

The BJP had failed to secure the majority in Haryana’s 90-member assembly. Dushyant’s JJP, which won 10 seats, had fought the elections campaigning against the BJP. However, on Friday, he stunned many of his own supporters by meeting Home Minister Amit Shah to pledge his support to the BJP.

Incidentally, Dushyant had also met his father inside the Tihar jail on Friday, the day he extended his party’s support to the BJP. Under the BJP-JJP deal, while Manohar Lal Khattar will be sworn in as the state’s chief minister, Chautala is likely to become the new deputy chief minister.

BJP should just declare Tihar as their next Union Territory after Kashmir. Get full control in 'national interest'. Conduct elections there too with 100% polling.

Haters won't agree but the ease of doing business has actually improved under Modi Govt. Yesterday, Dushyant Chautala gave support to BJP and today his father Ajay Chautala has been granted furlough from jail.

A convicted scamster gets furlough within 12 hours of extending support to BJP govt & Sudha Bharadwaj who gave up US citizenship & served poorest Indians for 30 years has been denied bail for more than a year now. This is all you need to know about India today.

Yesterday Gopal Kanda independent MLA extended support to BJP who was the reason for the suicide prime accused in the suicide of Geetika Sharma in 2012 and her mother too had committed suicide after she failed to get justice. The controversial politician had to spend one year in jail.

Finally, BJP in Haryana is going to form the government taking the support of the murder convict and releasing Scamster from Tihar Jail. If CM Manohar Katara needs 'Hafiz Seed' from Pakistan BJP may even get it.

In India in politics everything is allowed. They will say betis bachao but they will join with rapist. They will say we will not to celebrate tipu jayanti but when they are in power their people only say we will celebrate tipu jayanti. Now they will use IT or Cbi against opposition leaders but if they join their party no one will come to touch them.

Pity poor Surjewala, Antony & Hooda of CONgress. Same like in Goa, They were late t reach out to JJP.
However, another point is that even if they did, the math would've been 31 and 10 totaling to 41, requiring Kanda to come. All said & done, CONgress out of Haryana for another 5 years!

The equation is very simple! Chautala of JJP got once in a lifetime opportunity.
He will align with/support whoever pays him and his MLAs more than the other.
