Moodbidri, Aug 8:
Kadalakere Nisargadhama lies on a few hectares of land about two kilometers from the Mangalore–Karkala National Highway (NH) 13, at the periphery of the famous Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple, Kodyadka.

The good rainfall this year has filled the expanse of Kadalakere Nisargadhama with crystal clear water, delighting boating enthusiasts.

The pedal boat rides have been recently introduced by Nisargadhama authorities on contract to Muktarbai and M S Nazeer.  The boat contractors have moored four pedal boats with all safety accessories at the picnic spot.

The walking paths and garden at Nisargadhama were developed by the local Rotary Club and veteran horticulturist L C Soans.

The venue of the famous ‘Jodukere Kambla’ is also located within the Nisargadhama and gets maximum visitors during the Kambla event held here every year during the Kambla season which runs from October to April.

Kadalakere Nisargadhama is tucked in pristine surroundings and is close to the city for weekend picnickers and for local tourists as well.

A large number of outstation students studying in various colleges and institutes get the opportunity to relax on the lawns and through boating.

A wide variety of sweet water fishes are also found abundantly at Kadalakere.

The article on Moodbidri, Kadalkere was indeed very informative with some very photographs. Initially it was developed as a Water Harvesting place by forest department and now it has become a beautiful spot for people all around to have it for recreation . Adding to this are the 1000 Pillar Temple, Konaje Kallu (Twin Rocks), Annapornehwari Temple, Soans Farm which have increased the tourism value of Moodbidri.Besides there are lots of unknown archeological sites in and around Moodbidri. Kudos to Daijiworld.

very beautyful picnic spot. Peoples can relax in this place, because it looks far from the city. Nisargadhama authorities should provide enough trasn bins, sign boards to keep the area free from plastic & other waste materials. Barrication at the edge of the pond should be provided to avoid any kinds of accidents.

very beautiful place I think pickniker''s wil leave a lot of rubbish behind them and spoil the beauty of the place. Please provide proper garbage skips so that people will not litter every where.

Ideal setting, embedded with a serene and natural beauty, for future development into a tourist and recreational place. Another feather to the Moodbidri and Karkal Governing Councils, and kudos to the Kadalakere Nisargadharma authorities who are actively pursuing this project. Also, it will be a great venue for buddying athletics and students to improve their kayaking and rowing skills.
