Modi apprised about investors' summit in Himachal


New Delhi, Oct 28 (IANS): Himachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Shrikant Baldi on Monday apprised Prime Minister Narendra Modi about preparations for holding the Global Investors Meet in Dharamsala on November 7 and 8.

He also briefed Modi about countries participating in the summit as well as investment likely to be attracted.

The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of the state and assured the state that he would attend the summit, a government statement said.

Modi made a few suggestions for attracting larger investment and asked the government to focus on sectors such as tourism, manufacturing, skill development and developing traditional areas like ayurveda, horticulture and other local resources-based industry for a vibrant economy.
