Panaji, Oct 28: The state's first 50 KW wind-solar hybrid energy plant was installed at Pfizer's manufacturing unit in Verna Industrial Estate. The solar energy system was installed by Revayu Systems Pvt Ltd.

The state power minister, Nilesh Cabral claimed that the step towards hybrid energy could help the state in the direction of clean and renewable energy.

“We approached him with certain suggestions and he advised us that he would look into the matter. We realized that the minister is very proactive and enthusiastic about the development of renewable energy, which will help the Industries and Goa,” said an official from Revayu Systems.

To boost the use of renewable energy, the Goa government has even declared 20 per cent on solar projects which are up to 100 KW. Until recently, Goa would look to other states for power requirements.
