Kabul, Aug 10: A China-bound Afghan plane of Kam Airlines, reportedly threatened by a bomb, landed at the airport in Kandahar city in southern Afghanistan on Sunday night, sources at Kabul International Airport said.
An official in the airport said the plane scheduled to fly from Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan, to Urumqi in northwest China's Xinjiang region has now landed at Kandahar airport.
"The plane would return to Kabul after two hours," he added.
He did not provide any further information on the reason why the flight was cancelled.
Earlier, police sources in Xinjiang said the plane had been threatened by a bomb.
