Abu Dhabi, Oct 30 (IANS): Mammootty, the globally acclaimed Indian mega star, has been announced as the latest big name to light up Zayed Cricket Stadium at the opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi T10, organisers said in a statement.

Mammootty, who has appeared in over 400 films in a career spanning over four decades, will touch down in the UAE capital as part of a star-studded line-up of artists who will launch the inaugural Abu Dhabi T10 with a concert on Thursday, November 14.

Mammootty joins an impressive all-star cast of celebrities featuring legendary Pakistani musician Atif Aslam, Bollywood star Nora Fatehi, South Indian model and actress Parvati Nair and Bangladeshi film favourite Shakib Khan.

The opening concert will last two hours, with music, dance and star-filled line-ups celebrating Abu Dhabi T10's arrival in the capital.

Following the opening concert, the first day of action will see Yuvraj Singh's Maratha Arabians taking on the defending champions Northern Warriors and newcomer Team Abu Dhabi facing off against Shahid Afridi's Qalandars.
