Mangaluru: Carmel School celebrates Kannada Rajyotsava

Mangaluru, Nov 2: Kannada Rajyostava was celebrated with great zeal and zest on Friday, November 1, by the entire faculty and students of Carmel School, Mangaluru.

The event included a meaningful prayer service imploring the blessings of God on Kannadambe and her children. A skit on unification of Karnataka followed by dances highlighting the various cultures of Karnataka was beautifully portrayed that indeed captured the hearts and minds of all present.



Sr Gracy, vice principal in her address elucidated that as Kannadigas we must love and uphold our language Kannada and maintain linguistic, communal and cultural harmony. Significance of state flag was also beautifully explained. The event was organized by the students of grade IV A and V B.

Sr Rose Agnes, the administrator appreciated and gave away the certificates to the winners of various intra school competitions. Sanjay Raj, Yanvi and Dhanvi Gopal compeered the programme. Veola Simran Menezes welcomed the gathering and Aysha Rifa rendered the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end with the singing the Nada Geethe.
